You may not need another full time senior hire. You may just need the right commercial person in the business.
Hands on senior commercial leadership for founder led and growing businesses that need to get sales moving, strengthen margins, build a commercial team or turn growth plans into results.
I work inside the business, alongside the people doing the job, not at arm’s length producing a strategy deck.

When the business has reached the point where something needs to change
Fractional support works best when the opportunity is real, but the commercial function needs experience, focus or extra leadership to unlock it.
You’ve proved the product or service. Now you need a more repeatable way to grow revenue.
You’ve invested in people, marketing or sales, but aren’t seeing enough commercial return.
You’re moving from founder led sales towards a proper commercial function and need help building it.
You’re entering a new market, territory or growth phase and want experienced commercial leadership around the team.
Trading has become difficult and you need someone comfortable making practical decisions quickly.
I don’t believe most growing businesses need another consultant telling them what they already know. Sometimes they need an experienced commercial person to get alongside them and help make it happen.
That might mean sharpening the sales strategy, fixing pricing, rebuilding a territory, coaching the team, opening doors with customers or putting some commercial discipline around a business that has grown quickly.
The engagement can be a focused piece of work or an ongoing fractional role. The point is not to create dependency. It is to solve the commercial problem, build capability around it and leave the business stronger.
Strategy when you need it. Delivery where it matters.
I can operate at board level and still be close to customers, sales conversations and the team. That’s deliberate.
Growth & new business
Clarify where growth should come from, prioritise markets and accounts, build the approach and work alongside the team to turn opportunity into revenue.
Sales leadership & team performance
Bring structure, accountability and practical coaching to teams that need stronger leadership, better conversations and clearer commercial focus.
Pricing, margin & commercial discipline
Strengthen pricing and quoting, challenge leakage and put commercial decision making around the numbers that protect profitable growth.
Founder to commercial team transition
Help move sales knowledge out of the founder’s head and into a repeatable process, team structure and commercial rhythm that can scale.
New markets, territories & partnerships
Assess the opportunity, build the route to market and stay involved through execution rather than stopping at the recommendation.
Turnaround & difficult trading periods
Get close to customers, numbers and people quickly, identify what is actually getting in the way and focus effort on the changes most likely to move performance.
No strategy dropped on your desk and a disappearing act. If the plan needs someone in customer meetings, coaching calls or challenging a pricing decision, that’s where I’ll be.
The aim is a stronger commercial business, not a longer consultancy engagement
More clarity
A commercial plan the team understands: where to focus, which customers matter, what to stop doing and what the numbers need to look like.
More capability
A team that is better coached, better led and increasingly able to deliver without relying on external support.
More commercial grip
Better visibility of pipeline, pricing, margin, account performance and the actions needed to turn activity into profitable growth.

How it works
The first step isn’t a proposal. It’s a conversation about what’s happening in the business and whether I’m the right person to help.
Understand what’s stuck
We spend half an hour talking about the business, the commercial challenge and what you’ve already tried. If I don’t think I can add meaningful value, I’ll say so.
Define the job to be done
If there is a fit, we agree what needs to change, what my involvement should look like and whether that is a short project, regular fractional days or an advisory relationship.
Get inside the problem
I work with the people, customers and numbers involved. We set the direction, implement it, measure what’s changing and adjust until the business can carry it forward.

If any of this sounds familiar, let’s have a conversation.
Give me half an hour and tell me what’s happening. I’ll ask some questions, share what I see and we can decide whether bringing me into the business would be useful.
Based in the South West · Available for fractional, project and advisory engagements.
